The H.E.A.L. Foundation is devoted to assisting the homeless animals of the San Bernardino City Animal Shelter with medical attention, comfort while at the shelter and ultimately assisting them with finding permanent homes with loving families. We also educate the public and actively assist pet owners with spaying and neutering their pets, lowering the pet overpopulation in Southern California.

A message from our founder.
"I understand that the current economic crisis has greatly affected our community. Jobs have been lost and departments have suffered severe cut-backs in the City of San Bernardino. Unfortunately the San Bernardino City Animal Shelter suffered more because they have been assigned a lesser priority than most other departments. The welfare of the animals depends on the community. With new kennels, veterinary care and grooming, our animals stand a far better chance of being adopted into a forever home.
It is my goal, through HEAL, to raise those funds to provide new kennels which can house healthy happy animals, build a veterinarian room so that every animal can receive immediate medical attention, a new quarantine area which can house those animals which require medical treatment, a grooming room so that that the dogs can be washed and groomed (a groomed dog has a far better chance of being adopted than an unkempt dog) and finally, a new adoption center to showcase our available animals. I know that, with these changes, the animals stand a far greater chance of adoption. I am reaching out to everyone to please help us raise the funds to accomplish these goals."
